Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center Names Natalie Mussi as New President and Chief Executive Officer

THOUSAND OAKS, CA (Jan. 21, 2014) – Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Mussi to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. In this position Mussi will oversee all operations for Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center, including the three campus locations: the main hospital; Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital; and the East Campus, all dedicated to serving residents of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties and the Greater Conejo Valley and its surrounding communities.

Prior to being named President and CEO, Mussi served as the Chief Operating Officer of Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center since October 2008 and has served as the Interim CEO for Los Robles for the past month. As COO, Mussi has led Los Robles through its Level II Trauma Center verification, acquisition of Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital and oversight of the hospital’s construction and expansion projects.

Mussi previously served as COO for Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO, where she oversaw the development of a new 221-bed facility and hospital merger. As part of HCA’s Chief Operating Officer Development Program, Mussi started with HCA at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, CA, where she worked in tandem with Bryan R. Rogers as her CEO-mentor to assume responsibility and authority over multiple hospital departments. She continued her development at the HCA Midwest Division in Kansas City, MO, where she was an instrumental part of the acquisition team for Health Midwest.

“Natalie’s dedication and expertise have continued to elevate her professional growth within HCA,” said Bryan R. Rogers, FACHE, President of HCA Far West Division. “Having witnessed her continued knowledge and leadership, I know she will be successful in her new role at Los Robles Hospital.”

Mussi holds a Master of Health Administration degree, a Graduate Certificate in Management of Ambulatory Care Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science all from the University of Southern California. She is a Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Moorpark and serves on the Southwest Region Trauma Executive Committee.

“We will miss Greg Angle. He was the right person at the right time for Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center,” stated Rick Lemmo, SVP of Caruso Affiliated and Board Chairman of the hospital. “Natalie has acted as interim CEO twice now and I am very pleased that she is receiving this appointment. It is the right time for her. She is our first female CEO and it is very well deserved.  The board is engaged and ready to continue to work with Natalie as we keep elevating healthcare for area residents.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed running the operations of our facilities for the past five-years. I am ready to step into the role as President and CEO and to continue to work with the talented staff and physicians at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center,” said Natalie Mussi, CEO, Los Robles Hospital. “As a regional destination for care, we will continue to expand and offer new services to our growing community and surrounding areas.”

Natalie lives in the area with her husband and two daughters.

Mussi replaces Greg Angle who was promoted to President of HCA’s Mountain Division based in Salt Lake City, UT. A search for Chief Operating Officer at Los Robles is currently underway.
